Mark’s Club
On Monday, we played two new games. For the first game, all the students were limited to the area inside a basketball court and where not permitted to leave it. The center circle was designated as a 'pen'. Two students where chosen to join hands and become 'wolves' whose job was to catch the rest of the students (the 'sheep').

Any sheep touched by the wolves had to go into the pen, and when there were two sheep together in the pen they could join hands and become another wolf. This made it more difficult for the remaining sheep to avoid being caught. The winner was the last remaining uncaught sheep.

The second game involved everyone standing in a circle, with one or two students in the middle. The aim of the game was for the people in the circle to pass around two small balls without it being intercepted by the people in the middle. If the students in the middle caught or even touched the ball, they got to change places with the person who failed to pass the ball.

For English Corner on Monday, October 26th, we continued to play a bit of football. The students in my English corner are from classes 303 and 304, so I split them up and had them compete against each other for who could score the most points.

They took turns shooting on the goal. Because the goal is so big, there would be three students playing goalie each time. After one round of shoot outs, class 303 had the lead. Class 304 got even after the second round.

After we had spent so much of out English Corner time in the classroom, the kids were quite excited to go play some sports in English. I think I will continue to play sports with them one session a week.

Orlando’s Club

This week grade 1 and 2 played some competitive games with Mr Orlando today. Grade 1 competed against each other in a race where they had to drop on the floor and do interesting exercises.

The girls were very good in this game, and the winner from each grade got to race against the other grade. This was a great preparation for the upcoming sports day

Daniel’s Club

For Monday's English corner we played a game called 'flashcard treasure hunt'. It involved me hiding various flashcards around the schools golf area whilst the students looked the other way. Then I would then request the students to locate a specific flashcard.

This game is a lot of fun for the students but also very useful for learning because by hiding multiple cards but only requesting one, the students are forced to remember the vocabulary if they are to have a chance at winning the game.

David’s Club

Last week, we learned how to control and pass the ball. We did different exercises where students had to receive the ball, control it, find and choose another player to pass the ball to him or her, and run in order to occupy their position.

The students were positioned in lines to receive and pass the ball to the teammate in the other line, and run to be placed at the end of the opposite line.

Another exercise was "'Piggie in the middle', an exercise which is done by professionals and is very useful to increase their control and pass accuracy, as well as trying to block passes and steal the ball. Students were placed in circles to pass the ball among themselves, while 2 of them were in the middle of the circle to try and steal the ball.

For English Club on Wednesday,a story about the Bears going to the doctor's was read.
The kids loved the story so much, and during the story they were willing to answer some related questions.Reading stories in English helps the kids to develop the interest on reading. It's better to do it more often
