摘要: Our Funny English Club

Mark's  Club

On Monday, the students were given the choice of playing handball or playing a game of 'tag'. About half wanted to play handball and divided into three or four separate games. The remaining students selected an area to which they were confined and tried to evade being touched (or 'tagged') by the person designated as the chaser (or 'It').

When a student was 'tagged' by the 'It', they had to exit the playing area and wait until the remaining students had been caught and a new 'It' had been selected.

Orlando's Club
This week Grade 1 and 2 had a great time playing fun warm up games with Mr Orlando. There were vigorous activities in this English corner. We used the full length of the sports running track to play warm up games for a football match.

There are 6 basketball nets on the track, and at every one Mr Orlando implemented an amusing new warm up that we had to do. Grade 1 and 2 would have to, at one net fall down, and do three star jumps, then at the second, push ups then sit ups. Grade 1 and 2 had a lot of fun; keeping up with Mr Orlando learning new work out-warm ups throughout the games.

Brendan's Club
On Monday, we played a different word game, where teams had to give advice based up what the stated problem was. The problem might be something like 'I am always late for school', so the students have to say something like 'You should wake up earlier'.

Whatever team got a straight line of five different squares would win.

David's Club

Students warmed up and then had a 400 m race by teams. After that kept getting to know how to control, steal and short pass the ball to a teammate with opposition.

They did so with PIGGIE IN THE MIDDLE. A key exercise in football, well known today thanks to FC BARCELONA, the best team in the world.

Irina's Club

This week we play “Duck Duck Goose Game”.In this game, kids sit down in a circle facing each other. One person is "it" and walks around the circle. As they walk around, they tap people's heads and say whether they are a "duck" or a "goose".

Once someone is the "goose", they get up and try to chase "it" around the circle. The goal is to tap that person before they are able sit down in the "goose's" spot.If the goose is not able to do this, they become "it" for the next round and play continues.

If they do tap the "it" person, the person tagged has to sit in the center of the circle. Then the goose becomes "it" for the next round. The person in the middle can't leave until another person is tagged and they are replaced

Daniel's Club
For English corner this week I decided that we should play some high energy games to help us with the cold weather. I decided to warm everyone up with a game of bo-bo-bo, a favourite amongst the students.

It involves me calling out various numbers from 1-10, the students respond  by running into groups matching the number I call out, any students not in a group are out.
